We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Manager to join Paper Excellence's team. As the principal liaison with environmental regulatory agencies, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with testing, reporting, and communication requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all customer service aspects, including quality specifications and complaint response
  • Develop and maintain operating specifications with Operations Departments
  • Lead engineers and technologists in cost control, quality optimization, and process improvement
  • Authorize daily production releases
  • Develop energy and raw material budgets
  • Maintain ISO 9001 and 14001 programs
  • Develop staff skills to align with mill objectives
  • Promote and maintain safe working procedures and conditions
  • Establish reporting network with regulatory agencies
  • Respond to environmental complaints
  • Implement mill-wide environmental programs

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering with seven years of related experience. Knowledge of pulp technology, production methods, and quality control is essential.

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including extended health, dental & vision care, pension plan, life insurance, paid vacations, and employee assistance program. Salary range is $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
