About the Role

At Immigrate, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team. As a key member of our environmental consulting firm, you will play a crucial role in reducing our clients' environmental footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer programs related to scientific fields, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Advise senior executives on environmental issues related to the company's activities, providing expert recommendations.
  • Analyze samples of gases and vapors, identifying potential environmental hazards.
  • Conduct research on emerging environmental trends and technologies, informing business decisions.
  • Document investigations and conclusions/recommendations, maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor budgets allocated to environmental programs, ensuring effective resource management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 10+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation/natural sciences experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline, such as environmental science or engineering.
  • Possesses a recognized accredited professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag. etc.) recognized in BC, or the ability to acquire one.
  • Experience in contaminated sites on urban sites, with extensive knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in managing technically complex projects, working with a dynamic team, and overseeing cost controls.
  • Energy, intelligence, and integrity, with a relentless drive for exceptional client experience.
  • Experience managing and working with a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Reliable attention to details that matter most, accuracy-driven, and professional organizational skills.
