Job Title: Construction Labourer and Helper

Cira Homes Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
  • Perform pre-operational inspections
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Will train
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours per week
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding workload. They will be required to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces. The work site environment will be noisy, dusty, and hot.
