Mobile Civil Engineering Specialist

As a key player in our Community Development team, the Mobile Civil Engineering Specialist will spearhead the design and execution of land development initiatives for a diverse clientele.
Role Responsibilities:
In this capacity, you will:
1. Lead civil design efforts for complex infill, greenfield, and brownfield projects, as well as municipal and public space developments.
2. Oversee and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to land development.
3. Review and create designs for site grading and servicing, including water distribution, sanitary systems, stormwater management, and erosion control.
4. Provide senior engineering support for planning applications and land use designations.
5. Mentor and guide junior and intermediate technical staff, fostering their professional growth.
6. Engage in project coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, clients, and various stakeholders.
7. Conduct field reviews and engineering oversight during the construction phase of projects.
8. Participate in quality assurance and control reviews for your projects and those of colleagues.
9. Contribute to proposal development and project scope definition with a design-focused perspective.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of land development processes, including site grading, sanitary and storm sewer systems, water servicing, utility coordination, and roadway design.
- Strong knowledge of the entire lifecycle of land development projects, from initial land review to final acceptance and as-built documentation.
- Experience in a dynamic work environment, managing multiple projects and client relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BlueBeam Revu.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer licensure with EGBC.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based, with the possibility of remote work arrangements. Fieldwork may be required, exposing you to various weather conditions.
