Job Title: Engineer/Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer/Technologist to join our team at ISL Engineering. As a key member of our Vancouver Island team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services to our clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from planning to design and construction management, and will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external project team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering services.
  • Provide design and construction services for municipal engineering projects, including preparing engineering base plans, designs, drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Develop concepts and designs using Civil 3D, CAD, and other computer-aided drafting programs.
  • Assist in preparing engineering and construction tender documents and contracts.
  • Inspect construction of municipal engineering projects.
  • Provide input into project budgeting and scheduling.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Civil Engineering or Engineering Design Technology with registration (or eligible for registration) with AScT or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC.
  • ~3+ years' experience in municipal or transportation engineering related fields.
  • ~ Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD.
  • ~ Transportation and/or Municipal engineering design experience.
  • ~ Experience in large and small-scale projects.
