Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team at our corporate office. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct monthly expense analyses and provide clear explanations for variances between actual results and forecasts.
  2. Assist in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various business units to develop budgets and forecasts aligned with operational objectives.
  3. Analyze and report on the financial implications of key strategic initiatives.
  4. Enhance and maintain key performance indicators to assess operational effectiveness.
  5. Develop and refine financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational models.
  6. Create financial data and models to facilitate informed decision-making.
  7. Collaborate with the operations team to provide necessary financial support, including analysis of ongoing projects and potential opportunities.
  8. Work alongside finance and accounting teams to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  9. Support the implementation of new financial systems.
  10. Contribute to financial strategic projects and recommend areas for enhancement.
  11. Encourage innovation, curiosity, and problem-solving within the team.

Candidate Profile:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  1. A degree in Commerce or Business.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  3. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse groups.
  6. Exceptional time management skills.
  7. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple stakeholders.
  8. A detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on accuracy and results.
  9. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  10. A motivated and flexible work ethic.
