Job Summary

LRO Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Design Director to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. As a key member of the organization, you will lead a team of Design Managers and Design Coordinators on institutional buildings and light industrial projects within Ontario and British Columbia.

About You

  • You have at least 15 years of professional experience on major projects in design and project management.
  • You have a passion for construction and your project experience consists of various institutional and light industrial building projects, with a focus on architectural complexities, sophisticated systems, and/or environmental issues, and delivered through Design & Build, Public-Private-Partnership (P3) or other alternative contractual modes that include design.
  • You are experienced in leading and building collaborative and agile teams, while taking an invested interest in the professional development of each team member.
  • Demonstrate initiative, innovation, discipline, and leadership in the planning and development of design concepts.
  • Complexity is where you thrive, and you are driven to persevere when faced with a challenge.
