Ware Malcomb is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Interior Architecture and Design to join our team in Downtown Toronto.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our senior management team, responsible for supporting the Regional Director in driving growth, revenue, profitability, staff management, and client relationships for the Toronto market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the day-to-day management of the interior design and architecture studio, ensuring the team is working efficiently and effectively to deliver high-quality projects.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to secure new business opportunities and grow the studio's revenue.
  3. Oversee the development of proposals and contracts, ensuring they meet the company's standards and requirements.
  4. Manage the studio's organizational chart, project budget reports, and monthly financials, providing regular updates to the Regional Director.
  5. Market and promote the studio's services to potential clients, attending business development and networking functions as required.
  6. Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment, encouraging collaboration and open communication among team members.
  7. Partner with the internal recruiting team to hire new team members, ensuring the studio has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in corporate office interior design project management.
  3. Proven business development experience, with a track record of securing new business opportunities.
  4. Experience leading an office or studio, with a strong understanding of staff management and client relationships.
  5. Excellent communication, mentorship, and organization skills.
  6. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
