Arcadis is in search of a skilled Project Manager specializing in Transportation Engineering to enhance our vibrant team. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager on transportation infrastructure projects, including Class Environmental Assessments, TPAP, preliminary and detailed designs, and improvement studies. Act as the Transportation Engineering task lead for large-scale initiatives. Review preliminary and detailed design documents, support report writing (e.g., Environmental Study Reports, traffic studies, technical reports), and assist in proposal development. Oversee staff productivity and resource allocation. Mentor and guide project teams and staff. Supervise personnel and actively participate in project completion. Cultivate a culture of enthusiasm and client-centric focus. Lead business development efforts in the Ottawa and GTHA regions. Coordinate projects across various design disciplines, managing schedules and budgets. Serve as a liaison for clients. Participate in the management of the Transportation Group within the Ottawa Office.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience and over 8 years in Transportation Engineering. Experience in roadway design, both preliminary and detailed. P.Eng. designation (or eligibility for membership with PEO) is preferred. Familiarity with municipal and regional agencies is beneficial. Knowledge of intersection, arterial road, highway, and freeway design principles. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, and Civil3D is an asset. Understanding of traffic engineering fundamentals. Awareness of market conditions and client bases in Ottawa and GTHA. Experience in contract administration, construction oversight, and report preparation. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, demonstrating project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Highly motivated with a strong commitment to success. Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on quality and excellence. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Additional Information
