Job Summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Transportation Engineering team in Ottawa. As a key member of our Design & Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing transportation-infrastructure projects, including Class Environmental Assessments, TPAP, preliminary designs, detailed designs, intersection, or corridor improvement studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams and staff productivity and utilization
  • Review and support report-writing, proposal writing, and technical reports
  • Lead business development activities in Ottawa and GTHA
  • Coordinate project schedules and budgets
  • Client liaison and project coordination between design disciplines
  • Participate in the management of the Transportation Group in the Ottawa Office

Requirements

  • Bachelor's University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience and 8+ years of Transportation Engineering experience
  • Roadway preliminary or detailed design experience
  • P.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) preferred
  • Experience with City of Ottawa, MTO, Region of Peel, York Region, Durham Region, and Halton Region
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, and Civil3D
  • Understanding of traffic engineering principles
  • Familiarity with Ottawa and/or GTHA market conditions, public and private sector client base
  • Contract administration, construction inspection, and report preparation skills
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
