Job Title: Second Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second Chef to join our team at Sjccjax. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Food Safety Certificate.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
