We equip you with the necessary tools, training, and support to successfully obtain the Damage Insurance Certificate from l'Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the Other than Life (OTL) insurance license for Ontario and other provinces.

As a Licensed Insurance Advisor for Home & Auto at RBC, you will serve as a reliable source of insurance guidance, assisting clients in safeguarding their most valued possessions. Your empathetic and approachable demeanor will ensure that clients receive transparent and straightforward insurance advice. With each interaction, you will demonstrate curiosity, compassion, and meticulous attention to detail, focusing on problem-solving and delivering an outstanding client experience. You will play a vital role in achieving both individual and team sales objectives by proactively suggesting personalized home and auto insurance solutions to both new and existing clients, while also connecting them with your colleagues within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored insurance advice and solutions to clients based on their specific needs through incoming calls.
  • Ensure a consistently positive client experience with every interaction, addressing client concerns promptly and fostering relationships through meaningful conversations.
  • Conduct personalized needs assessments and reviews utilizing various tools, resources, and calculators to illustrate value and support your recommendations.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of regulatory risks associated with underwriting and updating home & auto insurance policies.
  • Effectively utilize established procedures during client conversations.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partners to function as a cohesive RBC team.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  • Willingness and capability to obtain the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate from l'Autorité des marchés financiers and the General Insurance License for Ontario Other Than Life and other provinces.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required, as you will frequently assist clients with varying language needs.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, with a knack for establishing strong connections with clients.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts within operational hours. The Home & Auto Advice Centre operates Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 8:30pm.
  • Proficiency in digital tools across a range of devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate from l'Autorité des marchés financiers.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Familiarity with insurance products.
  • Experience in customer service and/or sales within a contact center environment.
