About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Relief Pharmacist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our community-based health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patients' needs.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide friendly, positive, and proactive interaction with patients, counseling them on new and additional medications, and creating awareness and educating them through public relations.
  • Cost Control: Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training for new and existing pharmacy colleagues, including technicians, interns, students, and IPGs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and performance management skills, with the ability to build business using community-based marketing strategies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to formulate and execute action plans.
  • Technical Skills: Strong personal computing skills, with knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy systems an asset.
