Job Summary

The Communications Lead will play a critical role in supporting the Georgian Bay Information Network (GBIN) in achieving its vision of delivering high-quality patient care through evidence-based integrated technology solutions. This position will be responsible for maintaining a common vision, plan, and goal across all components of the project, working closely with the Change Manager and Project Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective external communications strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the project's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Change Manager and Project Director to ensure consistent communication across all project components.
  • Work with local correspondents to customize communications for specific stakeholder groups or regional audiences.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including health partners, project team members, and external partners.
  • Ensure that all communications align with Brightshores' CARE Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and LEAD Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others).
  • Advocate for a culture of patient safety and demonstrate an understanding of how the department's services and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in corporate communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with health information system implementations and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry.
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.
