Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Lake Country Radio Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
- Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit, as well as sharpening kitchen knives.
- Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Setting: This position is based in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
- Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate will be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for a reliable and team-oriented individual who is able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Training: We offer on-the-job training to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge required to perform your duties.
