Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from start to finish. The Project Manager will be responsible for optimizing resources and ensuring the financial success of all projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and Mazzei Electric's safety protocols.
  • Promote the core values of Safety, Innovation, Relationships, and Trust.
  • Engage in business development to enhance market presence.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, resource allocation, procurement, and risk management strategies.
  • Control project costs and enhance productivity through best practices.
  • Oversee change management processes, including RFIs.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Participate in progress meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Site Superintendent and Project Foreperson on contracts and budgets.
  • Provide technical guidance to Project Administrators.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects with ongoing forecasting.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses.
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings for effective project handoff.
  • Identify required resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with prefabrication and design teams.
  • Set clear expectations for forepersons and support their professional growth.
  • Plan construction operations and ensure timely completion of phases.
  • Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Estimate change orders as necessary.
  • Oversee project closeout procedures.
  • Conduct post-project reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships within the industry.
  • Organize and lead foreperson meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Electrical Journeyperson certification or relevant project management experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction sector.
  • Strong project administration and management skills, including handling RFIs and change orders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Excellent time management abilities and capacity to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in industry-specific software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial processes and contract management.
