Senior SoC/IP Applications Engineer

In this role, you will take charge of facilitating various customer interactions for multiple IP product lines, ensuring that customer-specific features and timelines are met, from initial discovery to contract finalization. You will collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, Program Management, Marketing, and other teams to deliver effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Communicating the business and technical advantages of our products and solutions to senior management and technical decision-makers, both within Synopsys and among our clients.
- Analyzing customer needs and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Positioning our technical offerings in competitive scenarios.
- Acting as a liaison among our global technical, marketing, and sales teams.
- Leading and managing the technical solution strategy and design.
- A relevant Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 11 years of relevant experience.
- A solid technical foundation in IC design and verification, with experience in a customer-facing or sales support role. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and project management abilities. Proven capability to thrive in a matrixed environment. Self-motivated with a talent for networking across diverse teams.
- A strategic understanding of available IP product lines and related services. Ability to engage in detailed discussions with customers and engineering teams, maintaining technical credibility across a range of customer challenges.
- A proactive approach to pursuing opportunities, demonstrating energy, drive, and a commitment to completion. Ability to accurately assess issues across various groups and collaborate with sales, engineering, and marketing to develop technical and business proposals.
- Competence in supporting sales and business unit management in establishing negotiation parameters.
- Ability to comprehend multiple issues and program directions, articulating their implications at the overall customer engagement level.
- Proven ability to independently resolve a wide array of issues creatively and effectively.
- Experience in a project leadership capacity.
- Familiarity with technical requirements and applications for at least one major semiconductor IP product line, with knowledge of multiple other IP product lines or related areas being advantageous.
- Strong technical communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or technical knowledge of interface and connectivity protocols, such as SerDes, PCIe, DDR, USB, MIPI, or Ethernet.
- Experience in a similar role, collaborating with sales, marketing, engineering, and customers in the Semiconductor IP, EDA, ASIC, or SoC design/verification sectors.
- Program Management experience on complex SoC projects involving multiple dimensions such as scope, personnel, locations, and time zones.
