Project Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer

Synopsys, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Engineering Manager to lead the development of high-speed Serdes IP projects. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the development process, driving engineering teams, and ensuring timely deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integrated circuit design and design verification, with experience in managing cross-functional design teams. You will be responsible for defining IP product roadmaps, identifying needed resources, and driving problem resolution through fact-based judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the development and implementation process of internal engineering products and services.
- Drive and direct engineering teams in strategic and tactical aspects.
- Identify needed resources to achieve timely deliverables.
- Drive problem resolution through fact-based judgment.
- Manage risk and change from conception to delivery.
- Define, promote, implement, and improve team and cross-functional engineering processes and practices.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management teams.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of related experience and an Engineering Degree.
- Possess a full understanding of integrated circuit design and design verification.
- Familiarity with the development process for ASIC designs.
- Performs in project leadership role.
- Customarily exercises autonomous judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
- Provides regular updates to management and customers on project status.
