Display IP Verification Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Display Controller team is seeking a skilled professional to engage in the design verification of Display Intellectual Property (IP).

ROLE OVERVIEW:


The selected candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team of design verification engineers, architects, and design specialists, working in tandem with colleagues to thoroughly understand and validate the functionality of the design within the unit, block, and overall system architecture.


Responsibilities will include meticulously documenting and executing comprehensive test plans that incorporate both directed and random tests to be conducted in a simulated environment.

The individual will be expected to embrace evolving verification methodologies prevalent in the industry while also innovating custom techniques to effectively verify increasingly sophisticated IP designs within competitive, market-driven timelines.

KEY DUTIES:
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to grasp the new features requiring verification
  • Comprehend the functional and performance specifications of the Display IP within an APU and dGPU SOC
  • Take on technical leadership and hands-on development responsibilities
  • Assess requirements and resources to fulfill demanding project timelines
  • Develop, reuse, and troubleshoot test cases and test bench components for IP and SOC applications
  • Manage integration and codeline effectively
  • Formulate test and coverage plans to guarantee functional completeness
  • Certify IP quality for integration into SOC
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across various locations

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Expertise in IP level ASIC verification
  • Over 3 years of substantial verification experience on large ASIC development initiatives or equivalent embedded programming experience with a profound understanding of hardware architecture
  • Proficient in Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++
  • Familiarity with Synopsys VCS or similar tools
  • Experience in developing UVM-based verification frameworks and testbenches, processes, and workflows
  • Automation of workflows in a distributed computing environment
  • Knowledge of simulation profiles, efficiency enhancements, and acceleration tools/processes
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with UVM concepts and SystemVerilog language

Scripting Skills:
Proficiency in Perl, Ruby, Makefile, and shell scripting is preferred.

  • Leadership or mentorship experience is a plus
  • Previous exposure to display IP or multimedia solutions is advantageous
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
