About the Role:

In this role, you will provide essential support services that enhance the quality of life for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing coaching and support in social skills, communication, and leisure activities to maximize personal fulfillment.
  • Identifying and addressing barriers that impact the achievement of quality of life, ensuring Personal Outcomes are met for each individual.
  • Administering medication as per procedure and following Behavioral and Crisis Protocols as documented.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with families, supports, and community members.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Human Services Diploma from a recognized Community College or University, or a Personal Support Worker certificate from a Community College or a registered and Ministry-approved Private Career College.
  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School (or equivalent) and 1 year of related experience, preferably supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • The ability to physically support children, youth, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • A valid Driver's License, with a minimum G2, and a reliable vehicle.
