Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Canadian Freight Xpress Inc. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods from one location to another, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and any issues encountered.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure and oil levels.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and customer service.
Requirements
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with logistics software.
Working Conditions

As a Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to spend long periods driving and may be away from home for extended periods.
