Your contributions to the team:
• Conduct on-site evaluations of suppliers to assess performance, emphasizing manufacturing aspects:
o Manufacturing Process: Evaluate manufacturing processes, throughput, bottlenecks, asset utilization, productivity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
o Capacity: Assess overall plant capacity to produce required items within specified timelines.
o Systems: Review systems and processes utilized by suppliers to enhance efficiency, including production scheduling, execution automation, and deviation management.
o Workforce: Evaluate the competency and skillset of the supplier's workforce.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in suppliers' manufacturing processes to boost productivity and enhance supplier performance.
• Assist the team in preparing supplier assessment reports and scorecards that outline risks, issues, and mitigation strategies from a manufacturing perspective.
• Maintain a log of manufacturing-related supplier risks and agreed corrective actions.
• Collaborate with relevant team members to track and resolve recurring supplier issues and risks.
Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:
• Over 7 years of experience in Operational Excellence or Manufacturing Optimization within Industrial Manufacturing, along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools for process enhancement, including root cause analysis, value stream mapping, and Kaizen; Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with key systems and tools used in manufacturing environments, such as Finite Scheduling applications, MES, and MRP.
• Excellent relationship management skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to connect capability assessment outcomes to business objectives.
• Strong data analysis, synthesis, and problem-solving skills to consolidate assessment observations, identify manufacturing risks, and outline improvement actions.
• Technical aptitude with proficiency in MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word) and statistical analysis software.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
