Job Summary

Camosun College is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Admissions Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Student Services department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to students, prospective students, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to students and prospective students on admissions processes, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Assess academic backgrounds and communicate with applicants regarding the status of their application.
  • Process and evaluate applications to determine admissibility in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Prospective Student Services to develop and deliver recruitment strategies.
  • Represent Camosun College at on- and off-campus events, including tours and group presentations.
  • Assist with publications, website, and social media efforts, and distribute applicable publications and communications.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with external individuals and organizations to promote Camosun College as the institution of choice.
Requirements
  • A two-year post-secondary diploma and four years of related experience in a Student Services or Registrar's Office, including one year of experience in a recruiting and advising capacity.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, including understanding the needs of traditional and non-traditional learners and working in an environment that values and nurtures diversity.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proficient computer/technical skills, using all aspects of MS Office suite.
