Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Houseperson (Part-Time) to join our team at Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa. As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring that our hotel rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to all guests, responding timely to any special requests.
  • Room Preparation: Assist Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficiently, including sanitizing, dusting, and replenishing rooms with supplies.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean all assigned areas, including bathrooms, windows, and carpets, and maintain inventory in the Housekeeping closets.
  • Collaboration: Foster positive cross-departmental relationships to create a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Quality Assurance: Follow detailed housekeeping standards as set through our ALL Safe – Stay Well, Leading Quality Assurance and Accor's brand standards.

Requirements:

  • Warm and Caring Personality: Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Guest Service Skills: Highly responsible and reliable, with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Constant standing and walking throughout shift, frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
