Job Title: Houseperson (Full Time)

Located in the heart of Canada's capital, the Fairmont Château Laurier hotel is seeking a Houseperson to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide exceptional service to our guests. As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and friendly service to guests, responding promptly to their requests.
  • Assist Room Attendants in preparing guest rooms efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain assigned areas, including sanitizing, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Collect and deliver dirty linen, garbage, and recyclables from Room Attendants' carts and closets.
  • Maintain inventory in Housekeeping closets.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues to create a seamless experience for guests.
  • Follow detailed housekeeping standards and departmental policies.
Requirements:
  • Warm and caring personality, with previous housekeeping experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
Working Conditions:

This role requires constant standing and walking throughout the shift, as well as frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps may be required.
