We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance and Operations Supervisor to join our team at R&D Developments Ltd. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel, motel, and resort properties.
Key Responsibilities- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our properties to ensure that they meet our safety and cleanliness standards.
- Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for maintenance and cleaning projects.
- Recommend Additional Services: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain our properties, such as painting, repair work, and renovations.
- Maintain Financial Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records are maintained for all maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Assist Cleaners: Provide support and assistance to cleaning staff as needed.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure that maintenance and cleaning activities are coordinated and aligned with business objectives.
- Establish Work Schedules: Develop and manage work schedules for the cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Hotel, motel, and resort environments.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, and manual dexterity required.
- Personal Suitability: Flexibility, initiative, and reliability are essential for this role.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
