Job Description

CIMA+, a leading professional services and consulting engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to support its growth objectives in Western Canada.

This role will be responsible for providing coaching to CIMA+ leaders and management teams, as well as supporting employees in the Western Canada region with all HR-related matters. Reporting to the Lead HR Manager, this person will work within a dynamic HR team to offer a positive experience in every action, contributing significantly to the success of CIMA+ as a whole.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Partnership
  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach for the management team on all aspects of human resources management, including employee engagement and retention, performance management, compensation, communication, training and development, talent acquisition, and internal processes and policies.
Business Development
  • Develop a strong business relationship with managers and employees to maximize trust, engagement, and retention.
HR Operations
  • Understand the challenges of HR management in Western Canada and work closely with the HR team to implement customized and agile solutions.
Risk Management
  • Identify risks and opportunities for improvement related to human resources management and support managers in addressing them responsibly and strategically.
Employee Engagement
  • Understand the issues and challenges of assigned client groups and work closely with the HR team to implement appropriate solutions.
Representation
  • Represent the HR function and the business sector in various mandates and projects, implementing resulting initiatives.
Change Management
  • Act as an agent of change within a context of rapid growth, in harmony with CIMA+ values and organizational culture.
Employee Support
  • Act as a resource person for employees with questions related to the HR function.
Compliance
  • Remain up-to-date on current and applicable laws, regulations, best practices, and trends in human resources management.
Talent Acquisition
  • Participate in the selection and integration processes for new employees.
Employee Development
  • Play an integral role in employee engagement initiatives with assigned client groups.
Requirements
  1. Education
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Business Partner role.
Knowledge
  • Understanding of Western Canada employment laws.
Skills
  • Recognized experience in business partnerships and a strong orientation towards customer service.
  • Possess a strong capacity for autonomy.
  • Demonstrate leadership and the ability to influence through an excellent sense of judgment.
  • Exhibit team spirit and collaboration.
  • Possess coaching and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop the practice through creativity and a spirit of innovation.
  • Ability to thrive within a changing environment.
Certifications
  • Member of a professional order is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the professional services and consulting engineering sector is an asset.

The expected salary for this position is from $75,000 to $90,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
