Position: Senior Fabricator / Welder

Role Overview: We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Fabricator/Welder to enhance our skilled team. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with aluminum and stainless-steel materials. As a Senior Fabricator/Welder, your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and analyzing engineering drawings to fabricate and weld components accurately.
  • Utilizing various shop equipment and tools to ensure high-quality production of aluminum and stainless-steel components.
  • Providing mentorship and support to fellow team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Contributing to the overall efficiency of the fabrication process through diligent work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and weld components according to specified layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Maintain accurate daily records as required.
  • Safely operate and use a variety of shop equipment and tools, including forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, rigging, grinders, cutting torches, and other hand tools.
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shop.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control activities as required.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist the Fabrication Foreman with duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Occasional field site work and associated travel as required.
  • Confined Space work activities – training will be provided.
  • Input weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work independently based on drawings and documentation.
  • Ensure work is performed efficiently and within schedule requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Accredited Trade school or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant fabrication and welding experience; 3+ years as an Intermediate fabricator/welder or equivalent.
  • Certifications: CWB & ASME (as applicable).
