Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Iron Horse Rentals Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and welding services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution
    • Interpret welding process specifications and execute them accurately.
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Metal Fabrication and Welding
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
    • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut metal accurately.
    • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to shape metal.
    • Fabricate, braze, and torch-straighten metal to meet customer requirements.
    • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC) to cut metal efficiently.
  • Quality Control and Maintenance
    • Determine weldability of materials to ensure quality output.
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced fabrication environment with a focus on quality and productivity.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
      • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
    • Language and Work Environment
      • English language proficiency.
      • Ability to work in a permanent position with a regular schedule of 35 to 40 hours per week.
