Role Overview: We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Senior Fabricator/Welder to enhance our skilled team. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in fabrication and welding, particularly with aluminum and stainless-steel materials. As a Senior Fabricator/Welder, your responsibilities will include interpreting engineering drawings, fabricating and welding components using various tools and equipment, and ensuring the precision and quality of the final products. You will also be expected to mentor fellow team members, uphold a safe and organized work environment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and weld components according to detailed layouts, engineering specifications, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and records as required.
  • Safely operate a variety of shop equipment and tools, including forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, rigging, grinders, cutting torches, and other hand tools.
  • Inspect and rectify welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct within the workshop.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control initiatives as needed.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist the Fabrication Foreman with various duties as required.
  • Occasional field site work and associated travel may be necessary.
  • Engage in confined space work activities – training will be provided.
  • Accurately input weekly timesheets in a timely manner.
  • Work independently based on engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Ensure tasks are performed efficiently and within established timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Trade school or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant fabrication and welding experience; at least 2 years as an Intermediate fabricator/welder or equivalent.
  • Certifications: CWB & ASME certifications (as applicable).

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Work Schedule: Full-time day shift with opportunities for overtime.
