About the Role

LifeLabs is a leading community diagnostics laboratory in Canada, serving the healthcare needs of Canadians for over 50 years. Our team members are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of tests and results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to assigned site locations surrounding Ladysmith, BC, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including employee management, workflow, client service, occupational health and safety, and resources within assigned sites.
  • Develop and implement business plans, including setting objectives and targets, and leading smaller special projects.
  • Collaborate with peers and support groups to obtain necessary resources and achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in local Leadership Teams and provide timely and appropriate communication to area staff.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Graduate of a lab assistant program or comparable practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Healthcare.
  • Leadership experience is an asset. Supervisory experience would be preferred.
  • Phlebotomy skills, Home Care and/or Data Sort experience are required.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to create a positive employee relations climate, fostering common goals and teamwork.
