About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Jackman Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation and measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists and smooth out excess compound.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work at heights, in cold and dusty conditions, and in a physically demanding environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Ability to work at heights, in cold and dusty conditions, and in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
