About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at 10042749 Canada Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to install drywall sheets and other materials
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to work areas
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks accurately
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Reliability and flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
