About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at KIJOSA INVESTMENT CORP. as a key member of our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food service.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to inform kitchen operations and improve efficiency.
Personal Qualities and Skills
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced kitchen environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage kitchen operations, staff, and inventory effectively.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other departments to achieve common goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required for effective communication with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Work Hours: Work a regular schedule of 32 to 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
