Job Title: Vice-President, Engineering

Simcoe Geoscience Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice-President, Engineering to lead our engineering team.

Job Summary:

The Vice-President, Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of engineering policies and programs, as well as coordinating the work of regions, divisions, or departments. This role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments.
  • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  • Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a leadership role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal awareness and team player skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
