Job Title: Vice-President, Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice-President, Engineering to join our team at Simcoe Geoscience Limited.

Job Summary:

The Vice-President, Engineering will be responsible for leading our engineering team and overseeing the development of our projects. This is a key leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of engineering activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technical staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects and activities.
  • Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects and activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, science, technology).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
