About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Fitness Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for leading high-energy group fitness classes for adults, promoting a safe and supportive environment that encourages individuals to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver quality group fitness classes for healthy members and those who may be inactive or dealing with chronic health conditions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to participants, adapting to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and inclusive group fitness environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest group fitness trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Group Fitness Certification (Aquafit, Yoga, MOSSA certification is an asset)
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for fitness and wellness
  • Ability to coach diverse groups of people with varying abilities and fitness levels
  • First Aid/CPR-A certification
  • Proven track record of interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with excellent communication and rapport-building abilities
