Job Summary:

HMR Veterans Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Specialist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathology Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing and monitoring therapeutic plans of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans to maximize the delivery of speech and language services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify residents' communication needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide direct therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions.
  • Monitor and document residents' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Working knowledge of PPS and Medicare guidelines, OBRA, OSHA, and state regulatory agency requirements.
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with communication disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
