Job Title: Apprentice Plumber

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team at Northern Services (High Level)(1978) Ltd. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of plumbing projects, from residential to commercial and industrial.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances. You will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers and have the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Apprenticeship training in plumbing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
