Patient Flow Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Leader Patient Flow Operations at Nova Scotia Health Authority. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of patient care services within our facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising nursing staff and coordinating hospital and bed utilization activities. They will work collaboratively with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, and community partners to apply strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges and improve patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations. They will also have the ability to match utilization needs to resources available and perform duties that involve lifting, bending, and stretching.

About YouWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting
- Minimum of two (2) years' nursing management experience
- BCLS required
- ACLS is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations
- Ability and knowledge to match utilization needs to resources available
- Ability to perform duties that involve lifting, bending, and stretching
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Casual Relief
