Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead - UI/UX Designer to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for defining the user experience and interface for a new software application. This role requires strong collaboration with development, operations, and product management teams to ensure the growth and continuous improvement of our new platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for a new software application, including 2D and 3D visualizations, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.
  • Work closely with product and development teams to bring a vision and create intuitive interfaces tailored to the specific needs of visual inspection products.
  • Conduct in-depth user research and usability testing to validate design concepts and ensure an optimal user experience.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to experiment with different design approaches suitable for complex data visualization.
  • Ensure visual consistency and accessibility of interfaces, considering the specifics of 2D/3D visualizations and AI integration.
  • Present designs and justify design choices to stakeholders, highlighting improvements to inspection efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI design trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into design processes.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and design excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in graphic design, interaction design, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a UX/UI designer, with a portfolio demonstrating visual and interactive design skills, particularly in software pro-user contexts.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma.
  • Industrial design skills are an asset.
  • Excellent visual communication, problem-solving, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in developing web software and managing visual inspection products is a plus.
  • Advanced English language skills to collaborate with international stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • A passion for technology, with a keen eye on industry trends, new development practices, and emerging technologies.
