Job Title: Farm Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Turning Leaf Greenhouses. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm, ensuring the highest quality crops are produced while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate crop growth and development, considering factors such as water saturation, light, and temperature.
  • Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities, ensuring optimal crop health and productivity.
  • Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of crop production, financials, and maintenance activities.
  • Enforce policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Identify and investigate compliance issues, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Organize planting, cultivating, and crop harvesting activities, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in crop farming or a related field.
  • Pesticide Applicator's Licence.
  • Automated irrigation system experience.
  • Fertilizer applicator experience.
  • Sprayer or duster experience.
  • Agricultural chemicals experience.
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
  • Nursery or greenhouse experience.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Valid driver's licence.
