Role Overview: As a key member of the Quality Assurance and Controls team within Pension Services, the Senior Risk Analyst will play a crucial role in recommending internal controls and enhancing processes, particularly focusing on the operational workflows in Products & Technology ("P&T").
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise in technology risk and control to P&T stakeholders and internal partners.
- Recommend and document technology internal controls and process enhancements, assisting in the design and implementation of new controls as necessary.
- Identify and analyze root causes of technology compliance-related issues that may require further investigation.
- Support the supervision of action plans in response to audit findings, incidents, and compliance breaches.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness within P&T.
- Collaborate with partners on significant initiatives and projects.
- Assist the Quality Assurance and Controls team with operational tasks, including pension verification, annual task lists, supplementary reporting, and compliance as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in detailing and assessing technology risks and controls, preferably within a professional services firm or the financial services sector.
- Educational background in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
- Strong understanding of technology risks and controls, including Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs), system implementation controls, data integrity controls, and IT automated application controls.
- Familiarity with governance and control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO27001, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework is advantageous.
- Interest in technology topics including operating systems, software development, networking, and business applications.
- Pension-related experience and knowledge of associated risks, processes, and controls is a plus.
- Ability to collect, synthesize, organize, and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
