Job Title: Advisory Security Consultant

Job Summary:

IBM Computing is seeking an experienced Advisory Security Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for helping clients implement secure systems and advising on enterprise security capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement secure systems for clients, ensuring the highest level of data security commercially available.
  • Advise clients on built-in enterprise security capabilities and simplify complex operational security processes.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and mitigate security threats.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to client staff and executives on security best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with current security regulations, such as HIPAA, STIG, PCI, GDPR, and others.
  • Provide technical expertise on IBM Z Security Portfolio, including zSecure, Pervasive Encryption, Crypto Express hardware, and Central Processor Assist for Cryptographic Function (CPACF).
  • Work with clients to generate secure reports and analyze security events to detect security exposures.
  • Travel up to 75% annually to meet with clients and provide on-site support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with various security regulations.
  • Deep technical knowledge of IBM Z Security Portfolio, including zSecure, RACF, Pervasive Encryption, Crypto Express hardware, and Central Processor Assist for Cryptographic Function (CPACF).
  • Familiarity with z/OS SW & Z HW releases and their impact on advancing Z security solutions.
  • Experience with compliance and audit generating secure reports to analyze and report on security events and detect security exposures.
  • 2+ years of experience with Pervasive Encryption, Crypto Express hardware, and Central Processor Assist for Cryptographic Function (CPACF).
  • 2+ years of experience with TKE.
  • 2+ years of experience with IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager (formerly known as SKLM).
  • Experience deploying and/or administering security for IBM z/OS.
