Executive Vice President, Development and Growth

**About the Role**
WP Osborne Executive Search Inc. is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President, Development and Growth to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Canadian development projects, primarily consisting of multi-family purpose-built rental projects from inception to completion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement strategic plans for development projects, aligning with the company's goals and growth objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of development and investment professionals, including project managers, planners, architects, city and government officials, and other key personnel.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of development projects, including site acquisition, project planning, design, approvals, and final delivery.
- Provide oversight and guidance as it relates to the creation of project budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including zoning laws, building codes, and environmental requirements.
- Lead and manage the Development Investments team, overseeing the creation and review of financial models for new projects.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with development projects.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market demands.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in real estate investment with at least 5 years in a leadership role related to managing Canadian residential development.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and team management.
- Proactive leader who can inspire, motivate, and manage staff nationally, while fostering a results-oriented culture that is focused on achieving project goals and targets.
- Real estate professional with a deep understanding of the Canadian real estate market and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic thinker and creative problem solver with a commitment to excellence, who can adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Leader who possesses excellent project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as superior financial acumen, including budgeting and financial analysis.
