Overview

KPMG in Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Enterprise Audit Practice, you will be responsible for leading audit teams and ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the audit of clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of services.
  • Manage the audit from planning to completion of statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Work with members of the assurance management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Help clients reach solutions to their needs by providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Work with clients and partners through complex accounting issues to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Previous experience with ASPE/ASNPO.
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities derived from dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service.
  • Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong team player, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professional accounting firm experience is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong mentoring and performance management skills.
