The Credit Card Product Lead plays a vital role in the growth of Rogers Bank's credit card offerings, engaging in collaborative efforts across various departments to drive all product-related initiatives. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of credit card offerings, with expertise in banking and insurance products considered advantageous. The ability to work alongside diverse teams to guarantee successful and timely product introductions is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Management: Oversee the continuous development of the Rogers Bank credit card portfolio by establishing and prioritizing the product roadmap and feature backlog, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives. Convert intricate business strategies into actionable product plans, requirements, and specifications.
  • Lifecycle Management: Direct the complete lifecycle of credit card products and related services, from conception and development to launch, assessment, and refinement. Make informed product decisions that balance user requirements, technical limitations, and business goals.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Partner closely with teams across product development, marketing, legal, compliance, risk management, and operations to synchronize efforts and ensure successful product launches.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and policies. Contribute to the oversight and establishment of necessary controls.
  • Business Analysis: Evaluate new requests to understand their impact on profitability and provide informed recommendations to leadership.
  • Project Oversight: Track project timelines, proactively identify obstacles, and implement corrective measures to maintain project schedules.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare regular updates, documentation, and presentations to inform stakeholders and senior management about project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Post-Launch Assessment: Conduct evaluations following product launches to gauge success, gather feedback, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Performance Analytics: Engage in ongoing analytical tasks to ensure performance targets are met and provide stakeholders with necessary information for business cases and scorecards.
  • Market Analysis: Collect and analyze competitor information, identify market trends and opportunities, and offer strategic insights to inform business decisions.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit card product management within a Canadian financial institution, including familiarity with credit card insurance products.
  • A solid background in product management, preferably in financial services, with an emphasis on credit card offerings. Experience in a Digital First Banking environment is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions that foster product improvement and innovation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, with excellent communication skills suitable for engaging with both large teams and executives.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role across various functions, including legal, compliance, marketing, and technology.
  • Demonstrated capability to excel in a fast-paced environment, with a talent for building strong business relationships and navigating large organizations.
  • A bachelor's degree or college diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Technology).
