Job Summary

Baycrest is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Ambulatory Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of evidence-based programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Practice: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and provide treatment interventions for complex geriatric, neurological, and musculoskeletal populations.
  • Leadership and Education: Participate in the teaching and mentoring of physiotherapy and physiotherapy assistant students, and provide direction and supervision to physiotherapy assistants.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the inter-professional team to implement client-focused care plans and coordinate discharge planning processes.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to the development of evidence-based programs, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certification: Licensure in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and membership or eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
  • Experience: Experience working with geriatric populations with multiple medical conditions and/or cognitive impairment, and expertise in clinical assessments of elderly clients.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in computer skills, including Meditech, MDS, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
