Job Summary
About the Role
Fraser Health Authority is seeking a qualified physician to join our Hospitalist program in a permanent part-time/full-time or locum capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in developing an acute care hospital practice and working collaboratively with all members of the inter-professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Admission and management of acute medical patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP)
- Superior clinical and communication skills, along with exceptional bedside manner
- Commitment to the evolving specialty of hospital medicine
Program Details
- 24-hr coverage, 10 hour daytime shifts, 8 hour evening admission shift and 9 hour rotating overnight call shifts
- Average patient census is 58, with four hospitalists covering each day and one during the evening hours
- Overnight call is a virtual line from home
Requirements
- ACLS certification
- CCFP or FRCPC certification
- CPSBC eligibility for full license
