Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Support Worker will provide high-quality patient care and support to residents in our nursing home. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting resident rooms and common areas
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Transport residents to and from activities and appointments
  • Assist with lifting and transferring residents
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Work Environment:

The Healthcare Support Worker will work in a nursing home setting, providing care and support to residents. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
